MEET THE ORLANDOFEST TEAM
Tony Saccaro, Director of Operations and Sales
During the last 13 years, Tony has been a leading sales professional within the student travel industry. His diverse background has built a strong foundation of knowledge and expertise in the student group market. Prior to joining OrlandoFest, Tony spent nine years as a well-respected hotel sales professional, catering to student groups. He also served three years as Vice President for an Orlando-based tour company, where his main role was servicing student travel planners. Tony has also worked as a group tour director, responsible for escorting and planning student group trips. Tony recently served as the Conference Chair for the 2009 Student & Youth Travel Association. Tony’s commitment and passion is displayed through his attention to detail and his ability to care for his clients.
Mike Parks, Festival Director
Michael Parks recently retired from a 35 year career with the Orange County Public Schools in Orlando, serving as a Junior High and High School Band Director, Coordinator of Instrumental Music, and finally, as District Music Supervisor. Mike is active as a guest conductor/clinician for honors bands throughout Florida and the Southeast United States, as an adjudicator for the Florida Orchestra Association, and has served as a Florida All-State Band Conductor in 1995 and 2001. Professional organizations include Phi Beta Mu International Band Directors Fraternity, Florida Bandmasters Association and the Florida Orchestra Association. Mike believes OrlandoFest is the quality music festival that directors and students want to experience when traveling for performance evaluations and competition! Mike looks forward to a successful 2nd career providing quality musical and educational experiences for students, music teachers and parents. He strongly believes that the Arts provide the cohesive center that unites all learning and creates the ‘whole child’ that is so strongly desired during this time of educational reform.
